They made sure that the three bids we received were on the same design and materials. They had vetted the contractors and we were extremely pleased with the bid and installer we picked. Pick My Solar helped us get the information needed for our federal tax rebate, a Dept. of Agriculture grant that our farm qualified for, and helped us understand the payback from our power company. We had a really great experience with this service a couple of years ago. Initially, they designed a solar roof system for us that incorporated our specific requirements and roof details. Then, they put it out to bid. We received 4 or 5 bids, and they helped us go over the bids to find the best one. Because we have metal shingles, one bid that was significantly cheaper was from a company that used to install metal shingles. The companies that bid on our project were ones that we wouldn’t have known about, but all were quite experienced and up to the task. The company we ended up signing a contract with ended up doing a great job, and has supported us well. Overall, Pick My Solar made the whole decision process easier for us, and allowed us to make a fairer decision. I’d recommend them to anyone who’s thinking about solar.

love Pick My Solar! They have developed a handy online hub to help homeowners like me go solar. Their site provides an online education with a simple, user-friendly registration process that creates projects for certified, vetted solar panel installers to place bids on, delivering multiple competitive bids and making the whole process easy on homeowners. In my opinion they were not honest. They were pushy, and lied about the need for a social security number to relieve liabiltiy for one of their technicians to climb on the roof. We unwittingly believed them, and a few days later we received loan application paperwork in the mail, and they wanted to start work right away.
